Assembly & Quality Inspection

PrideStaff is working with a large & respected company in Columbia, ILto locate reliable entry-levelASSEMBLY WORKERto work in a full-time, never-boring, environment in either a 1stor2nd shift position.

SHIFT HOURS:
1st Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm
2nd Shift: 4:00pm - 12:30am
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Sort light-weight consumer products based on size and style
- Quality inspection by visually looking at each item to ensure there are no defects
- Quality inspection using various measuring tools to ensure each item is manufactured accurately
- Assemble parts of an item to ensure they fit together properly
- Trim and smooth edges of parts using a grinding machine to ensure fit together properly
- Conduct very entry-level checks on machine to ensure it is working properly
- Package items in to appropriate box or package in preparation for shipment
- Quality inspection, assembly, packaging
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Good hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail and patience is required.
- Must be ability to read written information and ensure all previous work was done correctly
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous assembly experience preferred
- Must have basic math skills
- Ability to push, pull and carry up to 30 lbs
- Must be able to stand up to 8 hours a day
- Must have consistent and reliable means of transportation
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
- Must provide 2 work references (no personal references please)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
